2. Facebook Pixel, Custom Audiences and Facebook Conversion

(1) We use the so-called "Facebook Pixel" of the social network Facebook on our website within the scope of our interests in analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer and for these purposes, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are located in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook").

(3) With the help of the Facebook pixel, Facebook can determine the visitors of our online offer as a target group for the presentation of advertisements (so-called "Facebook ads"). Therefore, we use the Facebook pixel to only display the Facebook ads we have placed to Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined by the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "Custom Audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of users and are not annoying. With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook advertisement (so-called "conversion").

(4) The processing of data by Facebook is carried out within the framework of Facebook's data usage policy. For information on this, please refer to: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. The settings are platform-independent, i.e. they are adopted for all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.

§ 8 Social Media Plug-ins

 1. Integration of Google Maps

(1) On this website, we utilize the services of Google Maps. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to use the map function conveniently.

(2) By visiting the website, Google receives information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. Additionally, the data mentioned in section 3 of this statement is transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish for the association with your profile on Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research, and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out, in particular (even for users not logged in), to provide demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, and you must contact Google to exercise this right.

(3) Further information about the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the provider's privacy policies. There you will also find additional information about your related rights and options for protecting your privacy: http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy. Our aim is to display advertising to you that is of interest to us in order to make our website more appealing to you.

(2) Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Facebook's server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Facebook through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our level of knowledge: By integrating Facebook Custom Audiences, Facebook receives information that you have accessed the corresponding page of our website or clicked on an advertisement from us. If you are registered with a service of Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Facebook or have not logged in, there is a possibility that the provider will obtain and store your IP address and other identification features.

(3) The deactivation of the "Facebook Custom Audiences" function is possible [here and] for logged-in users at https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads#_.
