Who is this workshop for?

This masterclass is designed for wedding professionals who want to refine their craft and grow their business. Whether you are a photographer, videographer, content creator or wedding planner, our event provides tools, inspiration and connections to help you reach a new level in the wedding industry. Join us and surround yourself with like-minded people who are striving for excellence and long-term success.
How do wedding planners participating in the workshop receive professional photo material captured during the day?

In addition to being able to film content on their phones during the workshop, wedding planners will receive all the photo material captured by the lead photographers, Alyona and Nikolay Simon, plus personal portrait images. These can be used by planners to position themselves on social media, update their portfolios and websites, and promote their services.
Our workshop is also a great opportunity to collaborate with other talented participants – photographers, videographers and content creators – for future projects, joint posts, reels and more.
How many participants are expected at the workshop?

Our masterclasses usually host between 10 and 15 participants, and we always work in small groups so that everyone has enough time with the models and can capture all the scenes without stress. Those who have already attended our workshops know that our shooting day is clearly structured. We create different shooting setups and rotate the groups throughout the day so that everyone can capture the full “wedding day journey” and leave happy with their results.
If I bring someone with me, will we get a discount?

Yes, if you bring a friend or partner, you will receive a 100€ discount on your ticket.
What is your refund policy?

Once your participation has been confirmed by paying the deposit for our workshop, your investment becomes non-refundable in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. However, in case of illness or if you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer or sell your ticket to another participant.
Can I publish the results of my work on my website and use them to promote my services?

Yes, you are allowed to use the images you create for any purpose, except for advertising your own workshops using materials produced at our workshop.
Is your question not on the list?

Feel free to contact us, and we will be glad to answer any of your inquiries.

General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for Workshop Participation

General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Participation Fee and Payment

1.1. The participation fee for the workshop will be invoiced after receipt of the registration. Unless expressly stated otherwise, all amounts are quoted exclusive of VAT (net). Any VAT that is legally applicable will be added to the invoice.

1.2. A deposit of 50% of the participation fee is due upon invoicing. The remaining 50% must be paid no later than fourteen (14) calendar days before the workshop date.

1.3. Participation in the workshop is only guaranteed once the payments specified in clause 1.2 (deposit and remaining balance) have been received in full and on time. If the remaining balance is not received by the deadline, the Organizer reserves the right to reallocate the place. In such a case, the cancellation terms in section 2 apply accordingly.

1.4. The Organizer is not liable for loss of or damage to equipment or personal belongings, or for any injuries suffered by participants during travel to and from the workshop or during the workshop itself, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on the part of the Organizer. Participants are strongly advised to arrange adequate personal, travel, and equipment insurance.

2. Cancellation by the Participant

2.1. Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to a.simon.fotografie@gmail.com. The date of receipt of the email by the Organizer shall be decisive for the calculation of any fees.

2.2. Deposit and Refund Exceptions

2.2.1. Upon invoicing, the Participant is required to pay a deposit in the amount of 50% of the participation fee. Payment of the deposit confirms the booking of the place.

2.2.2. The deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the Participant, regardless of the time of cancellation, except as expressly provided in clauses 2.2.3 and 2.7.

2.2.3. The deposit shall be refunded in full if:
a) the workshop is cancelled by the Organizer (for reasons not caused by a breach of obligations by the Participant); and/or
b) the workshop cannot be held due to force majeure.

2.2.4. Force majeure means events beyond the reasonable control of the parties which could not have been reasonably foreseen or prevented, including but not limited to: natural disasters, fire, flood, earthquake, war, terrorism, epidemics/pandemics, strikes, acts or restrictions of public authorities, border closures, prolonged disruption of transport services, and comparable events.

2.3. Cancellation more than 3 days before the workshop

If the Participant cancels more than 3 days before the workshop date (provided that the workshop is held and not cancelled/postponed under clauses 2.2/2.7), the Organizer shall retain the non-refundable deposit (50% of the participation fee). Any amount paid in excess of the deposit will be refunded to the Participant, subject to clause 2.6 below.

2.4. Cancellation less than 3 days before the workshop or no-show

If the Participant cancels less than 3 days before the workshop date or does not attend the workshop (no-show) (provided that the workshop is held and not cancelled/postponed under clauses 2.2/2.7), a cancellation fee of 100% of the participation fee will be charged. In this case, no refund will be made. If at the time of cancellation only the deposit has been paid, the remaining 50% of the participation fee shall still be payable.
This clause does not apply in cases of cancellation/postponement by the Organizer or force majeure as set out in clause 2.7.

2.5. Replacement participant

The Participant is entitled to nominate a suitable replacement participant in their place, subject to prior written approval by the Organizer. In such a case, the Organizer may, at their sole discretion, apply the paid amount (including the deposit) to the replacement participant and waive part or all of any additional fees (if applicable).

2.6. Transaction fees

Any bank or transaction fees incurred in connection with refunds due to cancellation by the Participant shall be borne by the Participant.

For refunds in cases under clauses 2.2/2.7 (cancellation/postponement by the Organizer and/or force majeure), the refund will be processed to the original payment method minus only those non-refundable payment processing/bank fees which were actually charged and are not recoverable by the Organizer.

2.7. Cancellation or postponement by the Organizer / Force majeure

2.7.1. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the workshop for valid reasons, including force majeure or circumstances that make holding the workshop impossible or unreasonably difficult.

2.7.2. In the event the workshop is cancelled by the Organizer, the Organizer will refund the Participant all payments received for participation (deposit and/or remaining balance) in accordance with clause 2.6.

2.7.3. In the event the workshop is postponed, the Organizer will offer the Participant either:
a) transfer of the booking to the new date with all payments credited; or
b) a refund of all payments received for participation (deposit and/or remaining balance) in accordance with clause 2.6, provided the Participant rejects the new date in writing within a reasonable period specified by the Organizer.

2.7.4. The Organizer shall not reimburse any additional costs incurred by the Participant that are not part of the participation fee (e.g., flights, accommodation, visas, insurance, transfers, meals, etc.). Participants are strongly advised to book refundable travel arrangements and/or obtain travel insurance.

3. Liability of the Organizer

3.1. The workshop concept, schedule, and content may be subject to reasonable changes (e.g. due to weather conditions, availability of locations, models, or service providers). The Organizer will make reasonable efforts to provide an equivalent alternative in such cases. Such changes do not entitle the Participant to a reduction of the participation fee or to compensation.

3.2. The Organizer is only liable for damages caused by intent or gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence is excluded, except for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health.

3.3. The Participant is responsible for their own behavior during the workshop and must follow the instructions of the Organizer and any third-party service providers (e.g. venues, models, planners). Any damage caused by the Participant to property or persons must be compensated by the Participant directly.

4. Severability Clause

Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. In place of the invalid provision, a valid provision shall be deemed agreed which comes closest to the economic intent of the invalid provision.

These General Terms and Conditions enter into force upon publication and remain valid until amended or revoked by the Organizer.

5. Invoicing, VAT and Reverse Charge

5.1. All participation fees are understood as net amounts, unless explicitly marked as gross, and are subject to VAT at the applicable statutory rate where VAT is legally due.

5.2. For business clients for whom the reverse charge mechanism applies under the applicable VAT regulations (for example, entrepreneurs established in another EU Member State who provide a valid VAT identification number), the invoice will be issued with 0% VAT under the reverse charge mechanism. In this case, the recipient is responsible for reporting and paying the VAT in their country in accordance with local law.

5.3. For participants booking as private individuals, as well as for business clients for whom the reverse charge mechanism does not apply, invoices will be issued including VAT at the applicable statutory rate.

5.4. The Participant is responsible for providing complete and correct invoicing details (name, address and, where applicable, VAT ID) before the invoice is issued. Subsequent changes to the invoice may be subject to an administrative fee.

6. Governing Law and Place of Jurisdiction

6.1. These GTC and any contractual or non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with the workshop shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the provisions of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

6.2. If the Participant is a merchant (Kaufmann), a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising out of or in connection with the contractual relationship shall be Düsseldorf, Germany.

6.3. For Participants acting as consumers within the meaning of applicable law, the statutory places of jurisdiction shall apply. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the Participant’s country of residence remain unaffected.
